Madison Pogarch brings a wealth of professional experience and an accomplished resume to Calgary Wild FC’s defensive unit. The Hartland, Michigan resident has competed at the highest levels of North American and European soccer, with experience in the NWSL and Sweden’s top division.

Madison began her collegiate career at Central Michigan University, where she became a two-time All-MAC selection and earned First-Team All-MAC honours in 2017. She completed her college career at Rutgers University, starting all 19 matches in 2018 and earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week recognition.

Her professional career began with the Portland Thorns FC in 2019, launching an NWSL journey that would also include stops with San Diego Wave FC and Utah Royals. Pogarch has also represented the United States at the international level, earning a place with the U.S. U-23 National Team for the 2019 Nordic Tournament.

In 2026, Madison took her experience overseas, joining Swedish top-flight club Hammarby before making the move to Calgary Wild FC. Known for her defensive versatility, consistency and relentless work ethic she has been part of multiple championship-winning teams throughout her career.

Now with the Wild, Madison adds professional experience, leadership and defensive versatility to Calgary’s back line.

Madison’s favourite pre-match meals are pasta with pesto or pancakes. And when it comes to snacks, popcorn is always a favourite. Pop music is her go-to soundtrack, whether she’s getting ready for a game or simply enjoying some downtime. Off the pitch, she is a passionate advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. Alongside her partner and fellow professional soccer player, Christen Westphal, she co-founded the Love Forward initiative, which has raised funds for organizations providing mental health resources and support to LGBTQ+ youth and families.
