Kathryn Harvey is an attacker (forward and winger) who has been playing soccer since she was five years old—and has loved every step of the journey.
But her journey into elite-level soccer began after playing lacrosse with New York’s Long Island University Brooklyn where she transferred from to play soccer at British Columbia’s Trinity Western University. It was a good choice: she was twice named to both the CanWest All-Second Team and USports Championship All-Star Team. She capped off her varsity career finishing in the top five for most game-winning goals. Her favourite memory is scoring in the last few minutes of the CanWest final of her senior year, on her home field, to win gold.
Kathryn’s scoring touch continued in the professional ranks. She was the top scorer for Denmark’s Division 1 team. She also played for Fatih Vatan S.K. of the Turkish Women’s Football Super League, before signing with Melbourne City in the Australian A-League Women, where she tallied two goals in her debut.
She is excited to bring her scoring touch back to Canada where it all began, as a member of the Calgary Wild FC.
Kathryn also prides herself on her community work. Outside of soccer, she is passionate about supporting youth in underprivileged communities through coaching and service work. She cares deeply about wellness and making healthy living more accessible. She is also focused on protecting the environment in the communities she lives, focusing on recycling, reducing waste, and living more sustainably in everyday life.
