Playing Position: Attacker

Serita Thurton is a forward from Ajax, Ont. who brings a distinguished international and NCAA background, including two bronze medals from the Concacaf Youth Championships with Canada’s U17 and U20 National teams. She also has 58 NCAA Division I starts from her time with the University of South Florida.

Serita made her debut with the Canadian youth program at 15 years old. She won a bronze medal at the 2018 Concacaf Women’s Under-17 Championship and helped Canada secure a fourth-place finish at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay. In 2022, she contributed three goals and one assist, helping Canada win another bronze medal at the Concacaf Women’s Under-20 Championship and qualify for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

Over five seasons with the University of South Florida (2020-2024), Serita recorded three goals and five assists. In her freshman year, she played a key role in South Florida’s victory in both the regular season and the AAC conference tournament. She capped off her college career being named to the AAC Preseason Watch List ahead of the 2024 season.
