Jorian Baucom grew up playing a multitude of sports, but soccer was the most enjoyable and stuck. It was the culture and competition that surrounds the sport that motivated her to continue down the pathway to becoming a professional.

Good thing. She’s enjoyed quite a journey that has led her to being a member of the Calgary Wild FC for its inaugural season in the Northern Super League. 

Jorian is no stranger to playing for newly created Clubs. She comes to the Wild FC from DC Power FC where she was the first player signing in the USL Super League. Her name is also in the history books as the first scorer in DC Power FC history. 

After a college career that saw her play at Louisiana State University (2014-2017) and University of Colorado Boulder (2017-2018) where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communication, Jorian has had a strong professional career while playing for the Houston Dash (National Women’s Soccer League) before signing with AC Sparta Prague (Czech Women’s First League), and MSV Duisburg. She suited up in the National Women’s Soccer League with short stints at Racing Louisville (2021) and the North Carolina Courage. Baucom headed to Portugal to play for SF Damaiense. She notched 27 goals across the 2023-24 season while suiting up for Hibernian in Scotland before her most recent stop in the United States with Fort Lauderdale United FC. 

Jorian was attracted to the culture and community connection that has been created in Calgary. She prides herself on her community commitments including working with the St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix, special needs patients, wrapping Christmas presents for U.S. Troops overseas and a volunteer or Kids for Hope when she was in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Did You Know… Jorian’s role models are her parents who she says are her backbone with their selfless support while playing with a variety of teams around the world….her favourite soccer memory was scoring against Bayern Munich in the International Women’s Cup which helped secure the winning title….Jorian loves playing video games on her PS5, streaming herself on TikTok and doing puzzles and art…
