POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Content Coordinator is responsible for executing Calgary Wild FC’s digital presence across match days, campaigns, and community initiatives. This role is highly tactical and hands-on, focused on content capture, campaign execution, and ensuring all digital touchpoints drive ticket sales, fan engagement, and brand growth.
This position sits at the intersection of marketing, content, and fan experience, supporting real-time storytelling and consistent digital output.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
MATCHDAY MARKETING & CONTENT EXECUTION
- Execute match day run-of-show from a digital and fan engagement lens.
- Coordinate match day host script and run of show.
- Coordinate with the photographer/videographer to ensure key moments are captured.
- Identify and capture fan, player, and in-stadium moments that elevate the experience.
- Support match day fan entertainment.
SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT & PUBLISHING
- Develop a content calendar that supports the business side of partnerships, ticketing, and merchandise.
- Write engaging, on-brand captions aligned with Wild FC voice.
- Manage DMs, comments, and fan engagement in real time.
- Identify trends and opportunities to increase reach and engagement.
CAMPAIGN SUPPORT (PAID + ORGANIC)
- Support execution of Meta, search, and programmatic campaigns.
- Assist with creative coordination, including briefing, approvals, and delivery.
- Track performance of campaigns and flag optimization opportunities.
- Ensure campaign messaging aligns across all digital platforms.
EMAIL MARKETING
- Assist with weekly email campaigns in Mailchimp.
- Coordinate messaging across match promotions, ticket offers, partner integrations, and merchandise promotion.
- Support segmentation and audience targeting strategies.
- Track performance metrics, including open rates, CTR, and conversions.
COMMUNITY & PARTNERSHIP MARKETING
- Support digital promotion and contesting at community events and grassroots initiatives.
- Collaborate with partners on co-branded content and giveaways.
- Identify opportunities for cross-promotion with local brands and organizations.
CONTENT CAPTURE & COORDINATION
- Coordinate and support content shoots, including media days, events, and partnerships.
- Manage content library and organize assets for easy access.
- Ensure consistent brand look and feel across all content.
- Work closely with the internal team and contractors, including photographers, videographers, and designers.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 2-4 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content creation.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and digital trends.
- Experience with email platforms. Mailchimp experience is preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and match days.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.
